hey hey is it possible that the server needs a reboot ?
when I'm playing my ping jumps between 0 and 50 (normally between 0 and 25)
see that with most players also the lag seems to be more with the high pingers
this is going on for like 2 days now.

i think after running and maintaining several GO servers for a couple of years, i can say that i know when there is something wrong on my site or on the server site
but then again you always now best so maybe my few years of experience of server running and maintaining doesn't matter and i believe you on your few months of experience of being a server admin.....

Some time ago I got sick om some weird lag too.. and I also thought the server needed a reboot. But after a few weird deaths I reinstalled GO and everything was fine again.

I can't really tell whether the server lags more than it used to be, or not. Mostly when i check me ping, it is around 10-20, can't remember a 50+ ping to be honoust, but than again, i never really double check my ping.

we have 2 pc's and 1 laptop with GO installt (dabitch also plays) spike in pings is on all 3.
so i checkt my ping and packet loss on several other dutch servers. (not GO)
and our ping is stable and our packet loss is almost 0.
i check my ping always when i think that there is lag so that i know if it's me or other players.
i know what I'm seeing and somehow the TLP server has lag moments, as if there is a other program or so running on it, and taking away the bandwidth.
and class has pings up to 96 so he also has bad pings!

Yes I think that this time he is right, not need to be 30 years of experience to see that the server has tough problems of lag/warp. Maybe it doesn't come from pings.
Tested some hours ago with 3 separate computers.

My home pc whas on the edge of breaking down, so i`ve used the server upgrade parts (so no upgrade on the server soon, ran out of money ), so i did not have time to look at the server, but it is possible some other process is hogging the system. This happens once in awhile, there are more users which run certain services on the server and sometimes one of their processes is hanging or using 99% cpu. I`ll look at it when i`m home this evening.

what dp you need for server upgrade ?? have some parts lying around. MB\cpu\ etc only thing i dont have is HD and mem. for the rest i can setup a complete system i think maybe thats a idea to setup a second server for the other services your talking about so that the main server gets less load
