Global Operations Update 4.0 released

After more then 16 years silence we are back with a new update.


This new updates includes the following new features and fixes:

New features
============

-Network Connection speed updated to higher values, with these two new values more packets are send to the client
-removed the Network Connection speed settings of 56k and ISDN
-renamed the Network Connection speed settings to LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH and VERY HIGH

-added/changed the following Network Connection speed values to:
LOW - (15) same value as the old DSL setting
MEDIUM - (20) same value as the old T1+ setting
HIGH - (25) new value
VERY HIGH - (30) new value

-added high resolution timing code to both the client and server executable
-added a FPS limiter to fix the warping problems and weird NPC behaviour
-changed the client and server files to version 1.40.0.0

Bug fixes
=========

-changed the discontinued GameSpy server to OpenSpy server
-changed the GameSpy graphics to OpenSpy

If you want to run a Windows server, download and install update 4.0 below and afterwards download this fixed file and replace the server.dll in your GO dir.

things are going for about 2 months and we have around 200 members in discord. we managed to get a couple of matches almost daily, but a week now it stagnated. hopefully this mass mail and the new patch that removed a lot of annoying things we will improve this

Also I hope to build a new msi this weekend, so the updated server.dll is included.

That is right, this file is only needed if you want to run a GO Windows server.
I'll replace the msi with a new version, which includes this fixed dll and maybe also all files in a zip.
