That is correct.. All you need to do is set the files for exclusion.. its rather easy as people have said.. and no there is no auto-map download like CS.. You basicly obtain one LARGE mappack if you want that contains every map ever made for the game essentialy.. or smaller ones that TLP provides..
If you really want ur AV wile running the game ill remote access ur computer and do it for you.. Im a computer tech.. I run the NAC Server.. and the NAC forum.. (North American Community for Global Ops)
Well I have it running. It installed fine, AVG has it as an exclusiuon. But even so still the GUID error is up which means that the graphical user interface display is not that of which the servers have. We have the latest of whats on the site or at least I thought so.
It`s clear, your AV application still is removing or blocking the installation of the update. Because (if i`m not mistaken) all versions should be 1.29.00 after installation.
So tell your AV application to ignore the whole GO directory and also the v3.5.1 update file and if it still fails disable the scanner while installing the update and ofcourse do not forget to enable it again. I do not want you to get in troubles due to a disabled virusscanner
