hey, Tryin to setup linux server, got to step 8, but its sayin i dont have adequet permision to move the files, im running ubuntu 6.02 and am logged in on the only acount (also the administrative acount) and cant figure out wats wrong, please please please someone help me!! i have a screen showing my problem, its that im not the root acount or soemthing (even tho im set up as root acount) can someone tell me what im doing wrong (im still very new to linux) thanks, Joe

In Ubuntu, you must prepend 'sudo' to any command that requires admin rights I believe. Do a search on it.

figured that one out on saturday too New problem is i cant run the executible (.elf) even when typing sudo. Im going to post the error next time i start mucking. hopefully someone will read it lol. Joe

I remember I had these same problems when setting up a goserver on Ubuntu. I think you need to set that you have execute rights on goserver.elf so that you are able to run it. I am not sure of the command though.

You can use apt-get to automatically download and install them.

Got the Cpp lib, now cant get app to run:S it runs, creates all the new folders, but nothing happens, Is there a patch i might have missed that would cause this? Joe
