Back when everyone still used the 2.0 patch, my server worked just fine. When I recently decided to start up a GO linux server again, I updated the files with the 3.51 one on the site. Now when I type ./goserver.elf -profile server.prf while in the goserver directory, I always get a segmentation fault. This never used to happen with the 2.023 version. When I swapped the new .elf with the old one, it was working again but of course with an old guid. Can someone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong? I don't think it has anything to do with the lib files since they are already inside the .elf file in this version. I'm using a fresh install of Ubuntu Jaunty. This also happened when I tested it on Debian 5.0. Any help would be much appreciated.
we actually spoke about it. we were talking and it was difficult to find out what the cause of the error was. i was hoping you guys could provide your opinions on this. but my linux box's harddrive suddenly just crapped out on me. its pretty much over now. haha
