Hey hey, Seems it's been more than a year again since I've posted here, shame on me. But d**n, more than 6 years since the release of Global Ops... I was 16 back when it came out, d**n I'm getting old... Really miss those times, in all the games I've played since I have yet to find a community as fun as the one we used to have here and at EFL. But times change, forums go offline, old friendships fade away, good things turn in to memories... I'm happy this is still up so I can sometimes look back on those times.
Released back in March 02 if I'm not mistaken. Remember the first recruit to MJ12 was Jim-Bob followed by Skunk0001. The first fucked-up website website we had. The alliance with EDGE. S-2000. =) The TLP of course. Celestial ... The tight community and the power dramas (thank God most old posts and comments are long gone). ;-)
I still remember GO as a kick-ass game, at least the mechanics and gameplay with objectives and for the most part, great maps. Mexico was probably one of my all-time favorites.
Curious: does anyone here own a PS3? Warhawk? COD4? Personally, I gave up PC-gaming years ago. Would be fun to know if there's anyone here who uses the PS3 for some online fun? Let me know. =) Speaking of which ... I saw some in-game footage of Killzone 2. It seems it's objectives based, similar to GO. And the classes are there as well. Anyone planning on playing it? Let me know and I'll add you. =) My PS3 handle is "SpliskN" by the way.
Hey Snake, good to see you're still around. I don't have ps3 but I was thinking of getting one next year. Killzone is def. on my wishlist. The psp and ps2 Killzone games were a lot of fun and the game is created by the Dutch. So maybe someday we will have some games.
I Havent been playing this game from the beginning in 02, but i think from late 03 begin 04 or such d**n those times were fun Way more ppl playing, way more ppl to look up to and smile if you actually killed a well-known player ^^. I aint saying that these times suck , because now its fun too with a few newer guys playing; but still it feels a bit like the afterlife of GO:P
